Sunday 17th November 9am – 5pm.Nrithya Jagannathan is a Senior Yoga Teacher and Therapist in Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram with over 17 years of experience. She has had the blessing of studying under world renowned Yoga master Śrī TKV Desikachar and also under other senior teachers from the KYM tradition.
She has travelled extensively in India and abroad representing KYM at various national and international seminars, workshops and conferences. She has been invited as guest faculty at several educational institutes of repute such as Women’s Christian College, Chennai and IIT, Jodhpur. She also heads KYM’s Publication & Communication division.
Nrithya is certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists as C-IAYT. She is on the Indian Yoga Association’s Standing Academic and Accreditation Committee which is working on developing syllabi for foundation, certificate, advanced certificate and diploma programmes in Yoga.
Nrithya holds a Master’s degree in Communications and is also a professional Bharathanatyam artiste, with over 30 years of stage experience. She is currently doing her Ph.D on “Yoga and Nāṭya,” at SCSVMV University, Kanchipuram and is the Director of the Department of Publications and Integrated Communications.
