Yoga Mitra

Toorak

Fiona has practised yoga for years, and can't imagine life without it. Being an energetic person yoga has helped her to focus that energy (not in the mind!). “I like sharing what I've learnt with others. I plan each class individually: they're designed to lead you somewhere. I love chanting and trained as a vedic chant teacher at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandarim in Chennai, India. While you're in savasana (relaxing) I like to find a special chant to link with the intention of the class”.

Denise on the beach

Denise has followed the tradition of Krishnamcharya since 2006.  She has been studying and working in Argentina since then, settling permanently in Melbourne in 2022.

“In my classes I seek to integrate the different tools of yoga to achieve a state of lightness in the body, clarity in the mind and deep connection with oneself.

The tools that I use are: movement, breathing, mantra chanting and reflection. Vedic chanting and accompanying women on the path of pregnancy is another passion of mine that I love to share with others”

In 2024 Denise opened her boutique yoga studio in Carnegie, where she provides private and small group classes as well as Vedic chanting.
