A journey from the gross to the subtle through the 5 elements of Nature: Earth - Water - Fire - Air - Space

6.15 to 8pm, 5 week series starting February 16th

According to the Ayurvedic system (sister science of Yoga) the whole universe is composed of these five elements. They are present in all matter (prakṛiti), including our physical and mental bodies.

Each of us is born with a unique combination of the five elements, some of which are more dominant than others, thus marking our individual physical, mental and emotional characteristics.

The individual balance of these 5 forces is often affected by our tendencies, lifestyle, diet and external factors such as seasonal changes.

It is important to recognise the imbalance and find the return to balance  as this equilibrium is a reflection of our physical, mental and emotional health.

The proposal of this journey is to recognise ourselves through the 5 elements. In the 5 encounters, we will learn what are the characteristics of each element on the physical, mental and emotional level.

At the same time we will experience a practice using the tools of yoga (Āsanas, Prāṇāyama, Mantras and Visualizations) to connect with each of these forces in us, making a journey of involution from the stable Earth, flexible Water,  burning Fire, moving Air... towards our infinite Space.

Price: $35 for one session, $150 for the whole series of 5

Note: To establish a commitment to the series; after the first class, the remaining 4 classes must be paid for in advance. Payment by bank transfer is preferred
